I’m not a huge fan of cold and snow, but I do really enjoy our time out west in Teton Valley, Idaho during Christmas break and my children’s mid-winter break. While everyone else goes out and skis, I usually wander around the valley or head over the pass to spend the day in Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park.

This was taken in the Valley one day this winter… it was pretty gray to begin with, so it really felt like a photo that needed to be black and white.

I was lucky enough to get to go to Imaging USA in Atlanta last weekend. I really wanted to go out and shoot in the evenings, but we were warned about safety concerns in the downtown area, and I was exhausted at the end of the day. My room was on the 23rd floor, so I decided on this rainy night to shoot down at the street… best of both worlds! Dry and warm and a good vantage point!

So… this isn’t exactly what I thought I would use for this theme, but when you see a family of skunks run across the road and into the grass, your plans change! Not the best photo, but I’ve never seen skunks out and about!

I had a hard time figuring what to do with this theme. I went to Manatee County Animal Services yesterday and photographed this cutie! Champ is such a sweet boy – hope he finds his forever home soon!

I was lucky enough to be able to go on an overnight photo shoot to Busch Gardens. It was such a great experience. We got to do a nighttime safari after the park closed, and one in the morning before the park opened. This is by far one of my favorite shots of the trip. =)
